The Mummy & Me trend doesn't only apply in the fashion world these days. It trickles into the big wide world of interiors! And with the recent arrival of our White Moss baby, we have been obsessing over nurseries!
We thought it would be a lot of fun matching up a bedroom and nursery duo for you and your little one. We went for a boho, gender neutral theme that was inspired by a few images we came across while grabbing inspiration. From those images, we went on to create our own palette for our mood board. The palette consists of two dreamy colours and a few textures to set the tone.
When it came to the nursery, we wanted to create a comfortable balance between feminine and masculine. We opted for our gorgeous Bonnie Bali Baby Crib to nail down the whole scheme and fits it perfectly, then we worked around this special piece keeping it the focal point of this space. Another great piece that pulls together the boho look is our Bohemian Romance Three Tier Looped Pendant as well as Phoenix Plume Tribal Headdress, and although these pieces are more feminine, we counterbalanced these with stronger, more rigid items like the round based wicker table lamp and our Borneo Tribal Basket.
For our Mommy scheme, we incorporated a couple of items from the nursery, as well as other pieces that tie into the same family. A common piece that threads between both schemes is the round based wicker table lamp, this item creates a sense of familiarity between the two separate spaces. Another item that creates rhythm and consistency is the Rain Dance Spiral Cowrie Pendants on either side of the bed. Besides the obvious link in colour scheme, these pieces allow you to immediately connect the two spaces and recognise the relationship between them with ease.
