Balinese Umbrella
This spectacular fringed, tasseled and ornamented umbrella is known as “tedung” in Balinese dialect, which means “to guard.”
Entirely handcrafted in Bali from the carved pole to the intricately hand-gilded canopy, each umbrella is one of a kind and takes around 10 days to create.
Often used in its native land for festive ceremonies and parades in colours to reflect the occasion. In this case, white represents purity, peace and knowledge.
